First, you have a complimentary online meeting with your French teacher to define your specific needs and goals and to agree on your learning plan. Once you have agreed on the day and time of your first French class, your teacher will send you the teaching material before the class and will call you on the agreed date. During the class, you can use a headset with a microphone attached if you want to have better sound quality. However, the quality of a build-in microphone should be good enough to allow you understand everything your teacher says. At the beginning of the class, your teacher will open the chat board so that she can type any new vocabulary, corrections and grammar points that you should revise after the lesson.
At the end of the class, you will make an appointment for the next class with your teacher.
After each class, according to your availability, the teacher will send you your homework in an email attachment within 24 hours of the class.
Yes, you can.
Your teacher uses a webcam as it facilitates understanding and makes the lesson livelier. In addition, your teacher may sometimes share the screen to allow you to watch videos and visit French websites so that you can discover French culture and national heritage and feel immersed in French language and culture.
Usually, you don’t need to buy a textbook as your teacher will provide you with all the teaching materials and online resources that you need to make progress. However, textbooks may be necessary for some language programmes. For instance, if you register for the French for examinations programme, you will have to buy a textbook according to your specific needs and goals.
There is no minimum commitment. You are free to book the number of lessons that you really need.
